WeWork is looking for a Paralegal, Intellectual Property to join our team. This position will report to the Director, Intellectual Property.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal stakeholders and external parties in the drafting, negotiating, and processing of contracts related to marketing and brand awareness

  • Review marketing claims and collateral

  • Review claims substantiation  

  • Draft disclosures and disclaimers

  • Provide marketing review and clearance on images and creative content

  • Assist in managing and improving IP and Marketing playbooks, forms, and processes, including creating internal educational training materials

  • Support cross-functional working groups on high priority legal projects

  • Support business stakeholders across the organization responding to inquiries with respect to marketing compliance and general IP issues

  • Support the implementation of processes and systems for efficient and streamlined operations regarding the IP team’s marketing review and related contract management

  • Maintain our IP and Marketing internal educational documents

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of international marketing compliance and transactions experience at a law firm or in-house

  • In-house experience preferred

  • Strong project management skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple projects  

  • Familiarity with intellectual property issues 

  • Knowledge of Google docs, Jira, DocuSign, Microsoft Office 

  • Knowledge of contract/information management systems a plus

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Effective collaboration and team player

  • Ability to work independently
