Performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on buildings, not limited to building mechanical systems, plumbing, and electrical grid for assigned property. Responsible for the turnover maintenance of apartments and/or short stay rooms in hotel/commercial environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Conducts physical inspections of the facility, grounds, premises, hallways, common areas, restrooms, etc. detailing anything that might be in need of repair, maintenance, clean-up, or is a hazard and addresses the issue or advises Facilities Leadership for accurate resolution
Makes repairs to the facilities and premises as assigned including painting, patching, basic kitchen appliance repair, furniture, walls, ceiling tiles, carpeting, floor tiles, etc.
Prioritizes work orders and service tickets and responds to urgent requests from tenants and clients
Completes any and all assigned facility support, clean-up, maintenance, moving, event support, set-up, and repair work
Executes asset preventative maintenance
Collaborates with the office team to address day to day issues
Consistently acts in a manner that improves member experience
Ability to take ownership of a challenge and the resolution of problems.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in a commercial facility/hotel and residential maintenance, including, repairs, moving, freight/docks, or mechanical work
Must be technically skilled in multiple fields including plumbing, electrical, base building mechanical, HVAC and carpentry
High School Diploma or GED
Requires good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Ability to use computers for work order processing and e-mail communications
Must possess a high level of accuracy and neatness and operates in accordance with policy and procedure
Serves in an 'on call' capacity for after hours emergencies, if needed.
Capacity to acquire a Fire Life Safety Director (FLSD) or other various certifications depending on the needs of the asset
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of performing the duties of the position, including squatting, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds if required.
Ability to stoop, stand and climb frequently if required.
Must have the ability to crouch and reach to install or move equipment between departments and floors.
Ability to understand information presented orally and in writing.
