Use your engineering experience to help people live healthier

Have you ever wanted to apply your engineering skills and experience to help others live healthier lives? At Wellth, we have an opportunity for you to do that.

Wellth strives to motivate and incentivize healthy habits through individualized care plans. Our approach draws on a unique combination of behavioral economics, habit science, and cutting-edge technology to drive positive behavior and habit change among some of the US's most underserved and high-needs patient populations. Our work has produced demonstrable results, with several large health insurers reporting significant reductions in hospitalization rates by up to 44% in some cases. Our ambition is to be more than just another digital health startup; we aspire to be a category leader in the $88B health outcomes market, singularly focused on improving the lives and medical outcomes of historically hard-to-engage populations. Our work immediately impacts people's lives daily; we have served over 65,000 patients and prevented an estimated 15,000 days in the hospital and 530 lives.

Our mobile app and backend systems drive the positive outcomes and growth we strive to achieve. You can be an integral part of their development.

You have the opportunity to build systems that drive healthy habit experiences

Specifically, you will:

  • Develop automated test frameworks and suites for our mobile app, API, and other supporting systems
  • Drive the conversion of manual tests to automated, improving the ratio of automated to manual tests.
  • Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered across teams
  • Where necessary, develop and execute manual test cases to detect issues that cannot be detected through automated means
  • Develop testing components that can be leveraged in multiple frameworks or suites
  • Incorporate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
  • Provide support during code promotions between lower to production environments
  • Estimate and measure system quality dispositions and help to define SLAs, providing feedback for potential optimization and fine-tuning
  • Influence the system design for our systems to support its testability, enabling richer testing scenarios that simplify defect detection and prevention
  • Create and influence the testing processes that build a high-quality mindset and culture for the team
  • Document quality automation system designs, workflow, and processes
  • Proactively research and evaluate new technologies, recommending and championing new solutions and best practices for the QA Automation pipeline
  • Mentor other QA and software engineers on the team

You will be a member of a diverse and supportive team.

You will work with:

  • Other quality engineers to build testability into the systems we build.
  • Front-end and back-end engineers to develop our mobile app and backend systems.
  • Product data engineers and product data analysts to work on data-centric systems for the services we own.
  • Product Managers to ideate and groom potential new mobile app and service capabilities and discuss new business challenges to solve.
  • Internal teams to understand how to improve the systems to meet their business needs.
  • Our Director of Engineering on your career development, supporting your technical and leadership growth.
