SDRs are arguably the most important people on Welkin’s growing Outbound Sales team, because it all starts with your phone calls, your emails, your message. Without great SDRs, the Sales team goes nowhere and Welkin cannot fulfill its mission of helping people living with chronic disease lead happier, healthier lives.

What you'll be doing

  • Defining Ideal Company and Customer Profiles with Marketing and Account Executive (AE) teams
  • Building and maintaining prospective customer lists
  • Running outreach (calling and/or emailing) campaigns to prospective customers
  • Teaming up with the Solution Architect (SA) and AEs to create customer narratives and configure custom demos
  • Ensuring a smooth transition during SDR-AE customer handoff
  • Exploring and experimenting with new Sales Operations tools
  • Collaborating with your SDR teammates to refine processes and strategies
  • Working hand-in-hand with Marketing to refine and align messaging
  • Developing new professional skills with your AE, SA, SDR, and other Sales teammates

Qualifications

  • Creates team and mission synergy before role
  • 2+ years experience working as a customer-oriented professional
  • Operates with a “you first, me last” mentality
  • Possesses a growth mindset
  • Understands and can implement sound scientific or engineering practices (feedback loops, scientific method, rigorous testing, etc.)
  • Will continually learn and practice communication techniques grounded in human psychology (non-verbal communication, charisma, body language, vocal tonality, presentation skills, etc.)
  • Believes a career in Sales is a noble profession, fuels positive impact, and is grounded in integrity

Preference Given for...

  • Prior experience working at a SaaS startup (bonus points for healthcare SaaS)
  • Demonstrating intellectual curiosity
  • Working knowledge of sales texts, strategies, processes, and terminology
