The Vice President, Real Estate-Market Expansion is responsible for real estate, construction, property management and development for WelbeHealth. The VP, Real Estate is a member of the WelbeHealth leadership team and facilitates collaborative relationships across
WelbeHealth and with external stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture and mission.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Serve as lead for new site expansion – sourcing and selecting new sites, negotiating and securing leases, pre-construction planning, site development, bids, etc.
  • Responsible for lease management, compliance, strategic management for space utilization, real estate development and management of joint ventures.
  • Manage multiple sites concurrently and with varying options/plans, to de-risk issues that arise.
  • Oversee a real estate team which may include analysts, architects, vendors and other partners.
  • Uses past real estate experience within a highly regulated environment to identify opportunities for mass scale of Welbe facilities.
  • Manage early discussions with brokers and owners to identify attractive deals and think creatively to create and guide financially advantageous deals while satisfying Welbe requirements.
  • Partner with other senior leaders to understand strategic options, business needs and competing priorities.
  • Manage external partners (local brokers) and partners with capital (who understand the neighborhoods of the demographic makeup of our participants).
  • Develop playbooks for the model e.g., consistent plans and discipline around builds, business minded leader to make the inevitable trade-offs in site selection.
  • Previous leadership experience managing a diverse team and influential leadership (managing external partners, brokers).

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years’ experience in new markets and expansion.
  • Previous leadership experience managing a diverse team and influential leadership (external partners, brokers).
  • Two years’ supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Ability to process accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.
  • Highly motivated, inspirational leader who is able to innovatively engage, support and remove barriers for the team to ensure the team consistently meet established goals.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Deep commitment to helping unlock the potential of our most vulnerable seniors.
