This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA or can be remote as an Independent Contractor
About the Role
Weee! is seeking an Employment Lawyer to join its collaborative legal team. This will be up to a 6 month contract role. The Employment Lawyer will provide legal advice and guidance on a range of employment-related issues. Reporting to the VP of Legal this position is located at Weee!’s corporate headquarters in Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities
- Advise the business and the people team on a broad range of employment related legal issues including, but not limited to, employee relations matters and applicable employment related laws and regulations.
- Facilitate legal training related to employment laws.
- Manage outside counsel on employment litigation matters and administrative charges.
- Advise on matters in the commercial space outside of employment matters as assigned.
Qualifications
- 7+ years relevant employment law experience
- A JD or equivalent
- Admission to at least one US state bar
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (including but not limited to ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
Compensation Range
The US hourly rate for this contract position is $70-84/HR
