This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA
About the role
As a Merchandising Project Analyst in the Merchandising Strategy team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating key merchandising strategies, including but not limited to assortment improvement, sales planning, efficiency and profitability enhancement, vendor management, and process optimization. You will collaborate closely with Category Buyers, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Data Analysis and Engineers for the common goals of achieving Merchandising sales goals, profitability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data to assess current status, trends, and gaps in alignment with Merchandise project strategy.
- Support the Merchandise Strategy team to find the best fitting data-driven strategies to achieve long-term goals.
- Break down long-term goals into project milestones, execute cross-functional project plans incorporating regular progress check-ins.
- Prepare key metrics review and analysis for regular metrics meeting with cross-functional teams and follow through agreed upon actions.
- Proactively respond to urgent issues in any projects by identifying root causes utilizing data, and propose improvements independently to prevent recurrence.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Data Analysis, Engineering or Business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit.
- Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams to work on projects
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Enthusiastic learner eager to contribute to Merchandising initiatives.
- Experience in online grocery retail business (preferred).

Compensation Range
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000 - $85,000
- This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
