About Role

We are looking for an experienced leader to head our sales, merchandising, warehouse and logistics in the New York and New Jersey area. The General Manager, who’s the owner of our entire PnL of the area, will formulate overall strategies and lead the execution of them, drive user acquisition and sales, and bring Weee!’s service to the local community. This role will report to our VP of Operations, you would manage a team of more than 200 (and rapidly growing) employees to ensure high-quality, timely and cost effective deliveries of Weee!’s products to our customers 7 days a week. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure employees work productively and develop professionally

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities of the area; set up goals of growth and create an execution plan
  • Blend industry experiences in warehouse and logistics with Weee!’s secret sauces to localize our strategies and goals. 
  • Lead the execution of our strategy plan to reach the goals
  • Hire Weee! staff to meet the growth needs; coach new employees
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
  • Constantly improve processes and eliminate inefficiencies with practical and executable solutions to support Weee!’s rapid growth
  • Ensure staff follows related operation and labor regulations
  • Prepare regular reports with analysis for upper management

 

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to achieve excellence and ability to execute 
  • Demonstrated capabilities to solve complex problems in operations
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Passionate about retail, believe in Weee!’s vision
  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
  • 3 years+ proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
  • Experience in managing a team of more than 50 employees
