Senior Director, Information Technology (Hybrid - 1-3 days per week onsite)
Overview:
Weedmaps is hiring a Senior Director of Information Technology to lead our dynamic IT organization. This role will be responsible for delivering a reliable and high performing department, infrastructure and systems that support all core internal IT operations. All facets of the Tech IT organization including infrastructure, end user support, enterprise apps, integration, and compliance will be tied to this role.
The impact you'll make:
- Create vision and objectives for core operational capabilities that enable and enhance the delivery of key performance objectives.
- Create vision and objectives for transformation of IT processes, capabilities and operating model in support of business transformation vision to achieve the status of premier technology organization.
- Support our enterprise applications like SAP S/4 and Salesforce.
- Deliver safe, secure and efficient solutions for IT asset management, central user authority system and integration, laptop hardware and software management and antivirus software solutions.
- Ensure email, messaging and productivity tools (G-suite) are robust and centrally managed for security, stability and overall governed for compliance purposes.
- Oversight and management of developer productivity suites like Atlassian Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Ensure compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations as well as SOX and SOC 2 certifications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior business leadership to gain their active support for transformation agenda
- Translate that knowledge to identification of risks and actionable plans to protect the business.
- Partner with Infosec to ensure cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced.
- Develop a team of IT professionals, setting clear goals, managing project loads and allocating work accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met and setting up team members for overall success.
- Communicate the company’s technology strategy to management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.
- Provides direction to Individual Contributors on the IT team as well as several Managers.
- Manage and facilitate all recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding for the team.
- Manage and facilitate performance management for the team.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent to continually improve IT capabilities necessary to increase performance of the organization
- Define and maintain an IT core competency strategy and plan to guide talent investments and focus
- Define and execute forward-looking plans to develop relevant new technology skills and capabilities
What you've accomplished:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Information Systems, Analysis, Business or relevant experience with 10+ years managing and delivering IT services and projects in a software application technology environment
- 10+ years building and leading an enterprise IT team who tackle complex problems and perform broad technology implementations
- Managing teams of 15+ people across end user support, SaaS management, IT procurement, Enterprise Applications and networking
- Experience building IT systems in a technology company with over a thousand employees
- Experience attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to continually improve IT capabilities necessary to increase performance of the organization
Bonus points:
- Experience overseeing new office space and new hire build-outs
- Ability to manage technology obsolescence and vendor risks
- Experience defining and executing forward-looking plans to develop relevant new technology skills and capabilities
- Skilled in creating strong partnerships with business areas through account management, IT investment guidance, and performance reviews
- Maintain a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the industry
The base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $225,000 per year
