Webflow is a visual web development platform that empowers non-coders to create incredible experiences for the web.
We’re hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager to help us guide several of our interdisciplinary teams through the Agile testing mindset as we ship software daily. Quality management is different at Webflow. We like to think of our managers more as coaches or mentors. They get their hands dirty from time to time, they feel the pain of their teammates and they see their teammates performing their day-to-day work.
About the role
Location: San Francisco HQ or US remote
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll …
Lead and support a group of up to 8 direct reports
Coordinate with the product, engineering, and design managers to shift quality to the left in the software development lifecycle and make it part of every step of how we build and ship software
Help shape company-wide processes and work with other Engineering Managers to continually evaluate how we can better support our reports and each other
Attend and observe your reports' team meetings as well as review your reports' testing activities and status updates, and you may span multiple teams
Work on a highly technical platform that empowers hundreds of thousands of people, and serves millions of page views an hour
Set crystal clear expectations to further drive alignment and prop up your reports for success.
That said, these role responsibilities are just the start! At Webflow, we encourage you to contribute wherever your interests take you — and shape your role accordingly.
And this isn’t just a philosophical bent: we actually give you 4 hours a week(10% of the work week) to pursue passion projects directly related to Webflow.
You’ll thrive as a Quality Assurance Manager if you:
3+ years of experience in a Software Quality Leadership role.
Have a deep understanding of agile testing principles and the whole team approach to quality.
Have a strong testing background and have preferably reached the senior level in a quality assurance or automated testing role at some point in your career.
Have an understanding of what intrinsically motivates human beings through autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
Embody Servant Leadership and possess a hunger to amplify others.
Have the empathy to deliver tough feedback respectfully and with candor and kindness.
Have an understanding of the system designs of complex web and mobile applications.
If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying. Studies show that you can still be considered for a role if you meet just 50% of the role’s requirements.
At Webflow, we believe that our success will be defined not only by what we do — but also by how and why we do it. So, here is the Webflow “why” and our “how”: Our dual missions — one for the world, one for us
