Weave is a product-led company with a tight product-market fit and an amazing customer-focused culture. The Product Team at Weave operates in a development model with 4 stages of product development; Think It, Build It, Ship It, and Tweak It. Product designers are expected to be active participants in all of them. We work within a design system that is constantly evolving, with the only objective being to efficiently deliver the best product through tried and tested principles, patterns, and processes. Members of the Weave design team play an important role in defining the product's visual language and contributing to the company's growth as a whole.

As a Director of Product Design at Weave, you will collaborate with product managers, product designers, and engineers to design experiences, interactions, and prototypes. You will make decisions that have a direct impact on Weave and our customers. We are looking for a leader that aligns with our core values: hungry for success and personal growth, creative in their work and ideas, and caring about colleagues, customers, and our community.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

  • 5+ years of related experience with Product Design
  • 5+ years of people management experience 
  • 2+ years of director-level experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or 9+ years of relevant experience

  • Superior communication skills, both interpersonal and with groups. Including writing proposals and documentation and creating and delivering presentations. This individual must be able to communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and product
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to improve business processes and practices to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices and continual performance measurement
  • Proficient with the financial tools required to make estimates, business forecasts, and strategic decisions
  • Customer-focused, with strong user empathy and the ability to understand end-user needs and translate them into actionable strategies. Deep experience and understanding of user-centered design
  • Ability to articulate value propositions both within and outside of the organization
  • Ability to quickly make decisions and influence across organizational boundaries
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to “roll up sleeves” & be part of tactical execution when needed
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create appropriate KPIs to measure success
  • Ability to remain flexible, juggle multiple priorities, & change directions as needed
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage dependencies & deliver results
