Position: Software Development Engineer in Test
Location: Gurugram OR Remote, India
**This role requires Core Work Hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am IST (will change as per daylight saving in US). The remaining hours are completed at individual discretion.**
You Will:
- Create and execute automated test cases based on test plans for WeatherBug’s mobile and web applications
- Participate with the team to create short term and long-term test automation objectives.
- Participate with the team to prioritize and coordinate automation tasks
- Participate in code-reviews to maintain and improve code quality, stability, maintainability, and supportability.
- Provide estimates of task execution duration
- Perform manual testing to validate new features on mobile and web applications
- Work with the team to create requirements to design, document, estimate, and build features for the test automation systems.
- Work with the team to continuously improve the team’s practices in code-quality, automated QA, logging, monitoring, alerting, and build and deployment pipelines.
- Provide help and guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities as needed
You Have:
- BS degree in Computer Science (or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with a programming language such as Python or Javascript.
- Prior experience with agile development, continuous delivery, and DevOps.
- Experience with iOS/Android/Web test automation technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, XCode, Android Studio, Appium, Charles, Python.
- Experience using git or other distributed source control systems
Would be great if you have:
- Masters, post-graduate, or doctorate in Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of the weather industry to accelerate our engineering efforts and help build efficient solutions that meet the business needs
- Experience with react-native
