The Role:
We’re looking for a Global Supply Chain Manager who is passionate about working with engineers to bring early stage product development to scale and building a supply chain to meet this challenge. As the Global Supply Chain Manager you will build relationships with a number of suppliers and partners across a broad set of industries to negotiate favorable terms and conditions, pricing and secure and confirm availability of product. These supply chains will need to be created in partnership with the engineering teams to help guide the product development as it scales and evolves with technological enhancement and control of quality. The GSM will be accountable for Supplier Relationship Management and costs of the product, with the ability to communicate these to leadership, and work to provide parallel or alternative paths to manufacturing for improvements in cost and demand.
Key responsibilities:
- You will work within a hardware enabled software company, which will require establishing supplier relationships for low volume take-up for early adoption of high technology products.
- The GSM will establish supplier relationships and manage the requirements in collaboration with our engineering team.
- You will help our hardware team enable our platform for software development, you will build requirements for our supply chains that have to be agile and adaptive to respond to short term requests and continual evolution of the design.
- The GSM will handle cost management of bill of material which is critical and it is the responsibility of the GSM to drive cost out of the supply chain whilst also working with engineering to identify design for manufacture opportunities.
About you
In order to set you up for success as a Global Supply Chain Manager at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.
Essential
- Experience bringing newly developed products to scale through supplier relationships.
- Ability to do cost accounting for products and negotiate improvements with scale.
- Ability to drive decision making across a broad group of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing collaboration between internal teams and external partners and suppliers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to represent a broad range of tradeoffs and decisions to both working level teams and leadership.
- Comfortable working in an agile program environment with aggressive milestones.
Desirable
- Autonomous Vehicle or Automotive Experience
- Knowledge of Import and Export operations and regulation
