Reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer, you are responsible for the strategy, alignment, and execution of net new sales within the company.  We are looking for a seasoned enterprise sales leader with the proven capacity to retain, train, and hire a well oiled sales team. The VP of Sales will be tasked to create a structured and efficient sales environment while collaborating cross-functionally to analyze and scale sales performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Sales Organization:

  • Lead high priority sales initiatives, including setting the org structure, hiring of Sales Representatives (AEs) and Sales Development Reps (SDR), and aligning on coverage model
  • Sales planning including goal and quota setting as well as sales compensation and incentive structure
  • Develop market coverage sales model including segmentation and Ideal Client Profiles (ICPs)
  • Lead annual strategic planning - focusing on consultative selling, proactive-target marketing, client engagement initiatives, and sales incentive alignment 
  • Review sales presentations, proposals, pricing, contracts 
  • Identify and manage sales opportunities, across clients and prospects, with potential for high value. Strategically securing profitable business
  • Liaise with SalesOps, B2B and B2C Marketing, Account Management, Engineering, Product, HR  and the Executive Team

Work with Sales Operations: 

  • General pipeline management and expectations from sales org
  • Develop and implement regular reporting of key performance metrics including forecasting, funnel analysis, and pipeline management
  • Communicate and execute market segmentation and sales coverage model

Partner with B2B: 

  • Generate new sales leads through primary and secondary sources
  • Develop Nurture Campaigns
  • Implement and articulate Account Based Marketing plans 

REQUIREMENTS

  • HR technology and/or talent acquisition sales experience
  • Start-up experience preferred but not required
  • Experience managing a team that must sell complex contracts with longer sales cycles and six-figure ACVs
  • Excellent understanding of standard business practices related to sales operations and customer acquisition processes and systems (sales cycle, lead generation, reporting, forecasting, segmentation and sales quotas)
  • Adept at translating concepts into tactics that drive repeatable sales process
  • Comfortable creating and implementing a metric driven sales organization - Leads with a science like approach but appreciates and exemplifies the art in the sales process
  • Prior experience of selling HR Product /Services or enterprise services - Significant price discovery experience with transferable and repeatable methodologies
  • Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements
  • Strong self-starter with ability to develop and work an external pipeline
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct sales presentations and interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to successfully navigate and influence partners within a complex business environment
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
