About the role

We are currently interested to get in touch with experienced Head of Market Intelligence, to help us scout and benchmark the Head Up Display and Infotainment industry at global level, with previous experience in major Tier 1 automotive suppliers, OEMs and ideally technology companies. The ideal candidate has matured strong experience in scouting the market, researching and benchmarking products, analyzing competitors, spotting trends and estimating future industry developments.

The role is reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and will have the responsibility over the business intelligence at global level. The role will be a stand alone position, and he/she will work in direct contact with the Business Development Managers (responsible for the relationships with the OEMs), the Business Development Manager Partnerships (responsible for the technological Partnerships) as well as the Product team.

Your overall main goal is to create a detailed assessment of the current market of Head Up Displays and Infotainment technologies, assessing both the technology suppliers (Tier 1s), as well as the clients (OEMs). Additionally, you will work on different sources of information to define future trends at product and industry level.

Due to the complexity of our technology, in some cases you will need to work closely with multiple R&D teams, and feel comfortable in having a strong technical understanding of our products as well the competitors’ ones. Thus, a background with a high degree of technology expertise is preferred.

Expected results
  • Create a detailed assessment of the current market of Head Up Displays and Infotainment technologies
  • Define future trends at product and industry levels
  • Share relevant information to the Product team, to help them defining the next generation of our products
  • Work hands in hands with the Business Development Managers (responsible for the relationships with the OEMs) and the Business Development Manager Partnerships (responsible for the technological Partnerships), to efficiently combine information coming from different sources
Required experience
  • 6/8 years’ experience in a Market Intelligence (or equivalent) role, ideally within a major Tier 1 automotive supplier, an OEM, or a technology / software company [must have]
  • Experience scouting the market for complex products that combine Hardware + Software [must have]
  • Experience in sourcing information and intelligence via different means: from cold calls to internet search, from personal network to partners, from business events to databases [must have]
  • English professional knowledge [must have]
  • Attention to details and ability to deal with high amount of data in short timeframe
  • Mastering MS Excel and relevant software to help combine, analyse and plot high amounts of data
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel
  • Can work independently and is driven to bring results
  • Can manage a 30,000-foot view combined with a roll-up-sleeves approach
  • Ability to perform under pressure and with tight time schedules
  • Ability to perform in times of ambiguity or rapid shifts in targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
