Associate Director, Design Services Marketing

With its SKU catalog of 10M and growing, not every customer wants to negotiate the challenge of decorating their home, but “they know it when they see it.” Design Services is one of Wayfair’s newest businesses and solves this problem by connecting professional interior designers with consumers via our proprietary platform to help customers realize their vision for their home. In the past year, Design Services has scaled rapidly and we now want to share this exciting capability with even more of our current and future customers. We are looking for a creative, driven and entrepreneurial leader to help us market this vision!

What You'll Do
• Your core responsibility is to understand our Design Services capability and customer while crafting the Marketing strategy that will bring them to Wayfair
• You will be responsible for designing the strategy and testing/execution plan to grow the business using available Marketing channels
• Ideas for great strategy come from many places; in addition to your regular interaction with the rest of the Design Services team, you would be expected to partner with colleagues in Category Management, Site Merchandising, Storefront and Marketing to formulate the strategies most relevant to our current and potential Design Services buyer
• You will disseminate your hypotheses and what you've learned from tests to senior leaders in the company as well as teams who work across Verticals as Design Services offering scale to various use cases across the home
• You will manage the implementation, measurement, and reporting of your efforts with the help of analysts, both within and outside of your direct team

What You'll Need
• Post-MBA experience of 5+ years in operating roles or 2+ years at a top-tier consulting firm, financial services firm, or tech-focused company; comfort working in matrixed or cross-functional organizations is a must
• Willingness to engage in the learn-improve-teach cycle with stakeholders at multiple levels - both junior and senior to your role
• 1+ years management experience, including success in building and scaling teams
• “Get stuff done” attitude – Willingness to roll up your sleeves and engage deeply with analysts or managers, across multiple teams and agendas, to accomplish what needs to be done
• Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
• Relevant experience in retail (category management, merchandising, pricing) or Ad Tech, especially in e-commerce contexts
