With Wayfair’s continued growth comes the need for strong financial and business expertise along multiple dimensions, paired with strategic thinking, partnership and support across the business. As part of the newly created Global Supplier Financing team, the Associate Director Supplier Financing Sales will be exclusively responsible for promoting and offering financing products to our suppliers to support them in growing further together with us. The role will closely collaborate with our CastleGate fulfillment organization to identify the right C-level counterparts on supplier side and to establish trusted and sustainable relationships as a core foundation for reputable positioning of financial products. Further, the role will act as central function to coordinate any communication between our suppliers and the Global Supplier Financing team as well as potential external financing partners. The ideal candidate has comprehensive experience in the sale of structured financial products / trade financing products, has a good understanding of complex financing structures, and is highly comfortable in having convincing executive-level interactions.

What You'll Do

  • Promote our financing solutions to our suppliers
  • Take responsibility for positioning our financing offering successfully among our +500 CastleGate suppliers and drive onboarding
  • Align with our senior CastleGate account managers to identify the right C-level counterparts on the supplier side and build trusted relationships
  • Develop a deep understanding of current financing strategies and existing funding gaps of our suppliers as well as other limitations to growth further via the Wayfair platform
  • Support our internal financing product design via incorporation of supplier feedback
  • Educate and leverage our CastleGate account management for sales
  • Provide training on our financing solutions to the entire CastleGate account management organization and leverage them to establish the first discussions on financing
  • Develop strategies together with CastleGate management on positioning financing solutions in combination with other supply chain service offerings
  • Identify existing operational replenishment issues which could be resolved via targeted financing
  • Coordinate communication between suppliers and other internal/external partners
  • Act as central counterpart for all financing-related questions from suppliers
  • Coordinate information flows between suppliers and external financing partners


What You'll Need

  • Senior sales experience in finance sales, or a similar industry
  • Proven track record in promoting structured financial products / trade finance products to C-level executives
  • Profound understanding of financing product features, involved benefits and risks
  • Prior experience in banking/non-bank lending (5+ years)
  • Good knowledge on international supply chains and the home goods sector beneficial
  • Comprehensive experience in coordinating and leveraging heterogeneous teams to drive sales
  • Management and further skills
  • Facility with executive-level consultations. This requires demonstrated skills in fact-based analysis, clear communication, interpersonal interaction and project management.
  • Senior presence coupled with strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative and integrity
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and executive management (internal and external)
  • Desire to manage, train and mentor junior team members within Supplier Financing and other parts of the organization
