Associate Director, Lifestyle Brand App Growth Marketing

The App Marketing team owns app user growth and retention across the Wayfair and Lifestyle Brand apps. We operate as a well-funded startup, responsible for full-funnel app marketing leveraging digital advertising (e.g. Facebook, Google, etc.) to drive installs, App Store optimization, push notifications, app re-engagement campaigns and owned media strategy. We partner closely with internal teams such as Data Science, Ad Tech, App Product, Promotions, and Creative to expand our advertising reach and provide a more personalized and sticky app experience. The app is a strategic lever for the business and growing quickly. As such, this is a great opportunity to generate measurable impact for the business in a high-visibility role.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of managers and analysts to manage app install campaigns and overall app growth strategy for each of the Lifestyle Brands’ apps
  • Own channel P&L: manage and optimize multi-million dollar advertising budgets to meet ROI goals and grow each brand
  • Develop vision and strategic roadmap for each brand, partnering closely with the brands' GMs and CMOs and App Product leaders
  • Create go-to-market strategy and implementation plan for new apps launching in 2020
  • Closely monitor campaign performance for both revenue and costs, and react to deviations from plan quickly
  • Collaborate with App Retention team to understand end-to-end user experience and monitor app platform growth and performance
  • Partner closely with external vendors, including Google, Facebook and Apple, to test new growth products and advertising tools, and influence their strategic road-maps

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of experience in either a quantitative focused industries such as consulting, investment banking, product management, or an experienced growth/ product marketing professional looking for a new challenge
  • 2+ years management experience, including success in building and scaling teams
  • BA with strong academic record (strong preference for economics, statistics, math, quantitative background); MBA preferred
  • Dynamic self-starter with high operational acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset looking to make a big impact in a growing organization
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset and a desire for creative problem solving
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable building a strategy and story using large data sets
  • “Get stuff done” attitude – Able to roll up your sleeves and take on whatever comes your way
  • Collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others thrive
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, and Test and Learn practices
  • Prior app or product marketing experience is a plus but not required
