The Wayfair Community Experience Team oversees office community builds, space design and operations for 10,000+ Wayfairians in our offices around the globe. The Community Operations Site Lead - Boston will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Copley office with a focus on supporting and developing a great group of onsite facilities team members. This Site Lead will work collaboratively with the Workplace Services/Operations team to ensure a safe, clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for our employees. This is an exciting opportunity to exceed internal community expectations by implementing a culture of hospitality, ownership, and professionalism both on the team and throughout the site.

What You'll Do

  • You'll provide essential workplace services and programs to 5,000+ employees in a 700,000+ square foot office space
  • You will shape the office environment and experience by projecting the vision and voice of WPS to all Wayfair employees; solicit actionable feedback through regular engagement with employees and business leaders
  • You'll support build-outs, renovations and office moves, in addition to managing all building operations
  • You will manage all office-related expenditures by forecasting and tracking capital and operating budgets; develop, maintain, and report out an annual site budget; proactively work to identify financial efficiencies
  • You will establish strong vendor relationships to increase operational capacity while ensuring contractual compliance
  • You will implement standard operating procedures, improved processes, and consistent service offerings— the primary goal being to facilitate a creative and productive workplace environment
  • You will act as the site Safety Officer, complying with OSHA regulations and Wayfair policies; supervise emergency planning, safety training, and security management
  • You will continue to grow and develop engaged and results-driven associates
  • You'll be accessible off-hours to respond to building situations, organizational emergencies, or in the event of inclement weather 
  • You will coordinate access badges for new hires/employees and ensure that security protocols are followed

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong orientation towards customer experience and hospitality
  • Over 5 years of workplace services, operations management, or hospitality operations experience-- supervisory experience managing large office spaces and/or multiple locations is a plus
  • Proven leader of operations teams; highly skilled at coaching and developing team members
  • Senior presence and presentation skills; exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges through creative problem solving
  • Strong financial and analytical skills; ability to develop and present recommendations and strategies through the analysis of data and by leveraging past experience
  • Highly organized with ability to calmly juggle multiple and competing priorities; experienced with managing large projects
