Senior Manager, B2B Training Innovation (Leadership/Management/Coaching/Industry Best Practices)

Wayfair is seeking a dynamic leader with advanced experience in sales management and training techniques for a fast-paced B2B environment. This person will be responsible for creating strategy and managing a team small team; tasked with implementing related tactics for all aspects of Leadership, Management and Coaching training in addition to sourcing and integrating B2B sales best practice into new and existing initiatives. 

 

This person will report to the Associate Director of B2B Training. They will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of large and small scale B2B initiatives, processes and needs. This person must be comfortable presenting to large audiences of all tenures and levels, and will be expected to devise and optimize solutions that make the most of Wayfair’s resources while integrating relevant external content. We are looking for a clear, effective communicator and relationship builder who is passionate about developing others and effecting change in a large, national sales organization

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior B2B management to build and implement a data driven sales management training strategy that aligns with business objectives and growth projections
  • Lead a team of high performing training managers 
  • Lead creation of a manager development plan starting with new hire onboarding and continuing with advanced skill development
  • Create and execute a strategy to vet and incorporate B2B best practice into Wayfair Professional’s sales engagement, coaching and training methodologies
  • Partner with relevant B2B Insights and Strategy leaders to create and execute a data driven measurement strategy
  • Conduct a best practice analysis and use ongoing findings to develop associated trainings (classroom/e-learning) and certifications
  • Collaborate with Directors & Sr. Managers to onboard new managers
  • Partner with all levels of B2B leadership to promote and grow the B2B Coaching initiative through observations, feedback and sharing of coaching concepts
  • Facilitate trainings
  • Oversee development of Wayfair B2B's leadership development program
  • Vet and attend relevant industry events with an eye towards sales skill and sales enablement best practices
  • Create a culture of positive leadership, coaching, learning and development

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience developing and executing coaching initiatives and both leadership & management development programs - preferably in a sales environment
  • 3+ years management experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • 3+ years as a training facilitator and/or relevant experience in a sales role
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of B2B sales and management techniques
  • Proven ability to develop and conduct in-depth needs assessments with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead teams across multiple sites
  • BA/BS required
  • Proven success building and optimizing sales management solutions
  • Articulate, persuasive communicator across multiple organizational levels
  • Savvy, quick thinking and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • Goal oriented, entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Ability to analyze data to identify solutions
  • Expertise in Google Suite required
  • Experience with Seismic or other CMS/LMS platforms preferred
