Wayfair is currently seeking a Manager to drive Learning, Development, and Culture analytics for our 16,000+ global organization. In this role, you will work to evaluate the efficacy, impact, and success of our learning programs and organizational culture initiatives at Wayfair. To do this, we use quantitative and qualitative data to drive insight and identify opportunities to close gaps. We tackle complex, big-picture problems head-on and use data and analytics to help frame talent strategy and drive decision-making.

We are looking for a data-driven analytics manager with strong technical skills, natural curiosity, and an ability to translate highly technical material to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have an affinity for solving business problems through innovative approaches - quantitative and/or qualitative - and will be able to keep an eye on the bigger picture while diving deep into our data sets and processes. 

 Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the various stages of the employee lifecycle, and identify key metrics and methodologies to assess learning needs and impact of our culture programs and efforts across all stages
  • Initiate and execute analyses to evaluate learning, career development, and organizational culture in the workplace using SQL, Python, and/or R
  • Wrangle data across sources, communicating and justifying logic and assumptions
  • Modify and innovate upon analyses, using statistics and models to derive insights
  • Turn analyses into actionable data-driven insights, and make business recommendations to close gaps 
  • Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively facilitate ongoing monitoring of metrics using Tableau
  • Present a cohesive story with data and results, crafting a storyline that is easy to follow and that resonates with a senior audience
  • Respect the sensitivity, privacy, and confidentiality of candidate and employee data by adhering to best practices for data governance
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team and other business stakeholders to design analyses that address high-level business questions related to employee learning and professional development.
  • Work with the Culture & Values team and senior leaders across Wayfair to define metrics for tracking organizational culture and to identify initiatives to drive behaviors that reflect our core values
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across teams, levels, and leadership

 Skills & Experience

  • Masters degree preferred in a quantitative field like Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics
  • Demonstrated interest in driving value through measurement and improvement of learning programs (e.g., Kirkpatrick model)
  • Demonstrated interest in organizational effectiveness and change
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role in a fast-paced environment (in addition to any graduate education) 
  • Extensive experience using Python/R and SQL to write scalable code; experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) a bonus
  • Experience with visualization tools (Tableau) preferred
  • Strong demonstrated ability to solve complex and ambiguous business problems leveraging data analysis and modeling; Intuitive sense of how quantitative and technical work aligns closely with business priorities and business value
  • Integrity and honesty, and, above all, a respect for complete confidentiality
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where there can be degrees of ambiguity
  • Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks and constraints, propose potential solutions, and drive towards resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate sophisticated analyses into a logical, convincing business narrative to share with a variety of business stakeholders
