Our team finds strategies and solutions by working with our suppliers to deliver our customers' orders to them at an industry leading speed and reliability, while ensuring the products arrive in the right condition. We are a highly data-oriented team that provides analyses, insights, and reporting to tackle our toughest supply chain problems. We work cross-functionally to drive down the occurrence and impact of product incidences (e.g. damages, defects, lost items, etc.), to further grow Wayfair as the favorite stop for all things home.


What you’ll do

  • Build tools and automated reports to increase efficiency, improve customer experience, and/or reduce costs on a meaningful scale for the business.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis, including the application of advanced analytical techniques, to solve some of the more critical and complex business problems around incidence reduction, speed, and reliability of product fulfillment
  • Analyze key performance metrics to root-cause issues and drive change
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholder groups across Wayfair
  • Takes on ambiguous problem, scopes and manages work in a timely manner, and provides meaningful and impactful results
  • Build and iterate on machine learning models to improve its accuracy and reliability in predicting key performance metrics used to monitor and grow the business


What you’ll need

  • Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science or engineering role performing quantitative analysis
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL (incl. Aggregate functions, joins, etc.) or other structured programming language(s) (e.g. Python, Java, C)
  • Hands-on experience conducting quantitative analyses on large data sets. Experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.) 
  • High capability creating data visualizations and dashboards in Excel and Tableau
  • Previous experience or interest in machine learning 
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • BA/BS or Masters in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or other quantitative discipline field with strong academic record
  • Experience working in supply chain operations is a plus
  • Self starter, critical thinker, ability to break problems down, timely output, manage projects, pressure test solutions, deliver results
