At Wayfair, the Talent Strategy & Analytics team enables Wayfair to make thoughtful, data-driven decisions about its people. Our rigorous analyses on the employee life-cycle drive meaningful change in making Wayfair a great place to work.

We’re seeking an analyst to join our Compensation Analytics team, where you’ll use a combination of internal and external data to drive compensation strategy for all global employees. This role will be central to building out the analytics tools and processes to help managers and leaders make better decisions about compensation. The ideal candidate is analytical, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work and communicate cross-functionally.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to model the financial (e.g., cost, dilution) and talent (e.g., attrition, hiring) implications of compensation decisions; make recommendations for compensation strategy and processes based on findings
  • Build analytics dashboards, tools, and solutions to support employees, managers, and leaders in compensation planning and decision-making
  • Manage compensation databases and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Research, gather, and analyze data to determine appropriate salary levels for jobs and positions across Wayfair
  • Partner with stakeholders across Wayfair, including senior management, Recruiting, Talent Strategy Business Partners, Equity Administration, and Finance to provide guidance and interpretation on compensation

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in either a quantitative field (e.g., economics, math, statistics, engineering), or other major with significant quantitative coursework (GPA >3.5 preferred)
  • 1-2 years of work experience in an analytical role, preferably in finance, consulting, or technology
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform business decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The maturity, integrity, and respect to handle extremely confidential and sensitive employee data
  • Experience with data analysis and light programming, ideally in Python (you don’t need to be an expert, but should have an excitement to further develop this skill)
  • Knowledge of Tableau or SQL a plus
