Senior Manager, International Supply Chain

Operations in Wayfair covers a broad based continuum that includes: Supplier Operations, Sales and Service, Product Merchandising, Global Delivery, Customer Experience Center of Excellence, Process Transformation, and more. The Supply Chain & Logistics team develops and executes transformational strategies that generate game-changing competitive advantage and enduring customer satisfaction. Roles in Supply Chain & Logistics combine strategy with hands on execution and the ability to own and drive results. Dedicated teams work directly with suppliers, vendors and customers to provide new levels of efficiency and performance supporting all Wayfair businesses globally. Success relies on innovative problem solving, strong business acumen and quantitative skills, and collaboration with external and internal partners.

What You'll Do

  • Drive business growth strategy and commercial excellence, and meet volume and financial goals of the business
  • Interface directly with Senior Directors and VPs to drive business vision and define sustainable business growth goals
  • Run the strategic sales and marketing function specifically for Wayfair’s Asia Logistics and Freight Pick-up business within International Supply Chain
  • Drive sell-side strategy for CastleGate’s International Supply Chain offerings including pricing and packaging, positioning and value proposition for our customers
  • Grow the business globally through working in collaboration with the European and Asian business strategy teams
  • Drive product teams to build technology infrastructure for intelligent customer targeting and outreach
  • Grow pipeline through continuous analysis of performance and identifying new opportunities for expansion
  • Promote, sell, secure and maintain new and existing customers using a consultative approach
  • Analyze data to identify potential customers and meet volume and financial goals of the business
  • Evaluate the market to understand what next-best alternatives exist to our products and how differentiated our products are compared to these alternatives
  • Spearhead sales and marketing enablement by designing, delivering and automating training modules for customer-facing teams; with a goal to build a back-end infrastructure to track and improve sales performance
  • Develop and maintain new business by engaging and enrolling prospects into the CastleGate ISC program by driving onsite workshops and meetings
  • Work collaboratively with internal operations teams to improve processes and troubleshoot issues
  • Attend tradeshows to visit key customers and source new business


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor Degree, Masters or equivalent experience
  • Pricing strategy experience a plus
  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, Powerpoint wizardry a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and high comfort level with Excel, SQL a plus
  • Comfortable in technology-driven business environment
  • Supply Chain/Logistics experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a high comfort in consultative problem solving and sales
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to adapt to change quickly
  • Successful in negotiation and project management
  • Able to balance analytical thinking with effective, persuasive communication
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams
  • Solves problems in a creative and effective manner
