Test Enablement owns the tools and processes across Wayfair engineering for testing, test automation, chaos engineering, and performance. These tools are essential to ensuring that our teams are equipped to validate the software they build with a focus on simplicity and speed. Our goal is to ensure engineering teams 


What you’ll do: 

  • Own the vision and strategy for automated software testing with the goal of increasing software quality and performance to help us move quickly with confidence
  • Work closely with our QA teams, engineering leaders and other internal teams to identify key engineering needs - how our internal tools and platforms should change to accommodate the evolving needs of the business
  • Tight interaction and collaboration with engineering counterparts to prioritize development work by preparing stories and managing development backlogs
  • Drive the roadmap of improvements to QA experience, developer efficiency and usability of existing tools
  • Work cross-functionally to prioritize competing interests and focus project plans and the team on the highest impact activities
  • Develop a deep understanding of current user workflows and the solutions that support them
  • Proactively assess performance of the quality and testing toolset towards operational goals


What You'll Need: 

  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management
  • Extensive experience with Software Quality Assurance and Automated Testing including unit, integration, API, database, regression, and exploratory testing tools, frameworks and methodologies
  • Track record of success in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively and leveraging influence to drive multi-team projects 
  • Experience in iterative software delivery methodologies - Agile, SCRUM, etc
  • Comfortable making decisions with less-than-perfect data and can balance speed and uncertainty to deliver against ambitious business goals
  • Technical background, or technical orientation; very comfortable with implementing new technology
