Analytics Manager, International Supply Chain

We are building the best in class digital freight forwarding platform and this group leads the creation of solutions to drive competitive differentiation and productivity improvement for Wayfair. This group interacts closely with Product, Engineering, Business Intelligence and Operations teams to perform analytics and provide visibility by building reporting solutions to the operations organization.


What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the International Supply Chain organization to understand how data, reporting, and analysis will catalyze the business
  • Collaborate with various groups to develop complex analysis and innovative solutions that lead to actionable insights that accelerate profitable growth
  • Build and lead team to develop best in class solutions that are grounded in data and insights
  • Proactively identify areas where analytical efforts can produce a strong value and build a roadmap for the team
  • Manage and mentor the team; ensure the team is being challenged, exposed to new opportunities, and learning, while still being able to deliver on ambitious goals
  • Guide and provide feedback on prototype development by Analysts and be a trusted source of data and insights for the organization


What You'll Need

  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills and technical abilities along with problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior level stakeholders on strategic direction based on recommendations backed by in-depth analysis
  • Experience designing and implementing highly visible, complex, and innovative analytical solutions
  • Experience mentoring and developing a team of technically-savvy analysts
  • Experience with SQL (including aggregate functions, joins etc.) and BI software (e.g. Tableau, SSAS, Microstrategy, Cognos); Or experience with structured computer programming languages(s) (e.g. Python, Java, R, SAS)
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management or other quantitative discipline field with strong academic record
  • Experience with RDBMS, Big data technology, OLAP technologies
  • Experience with Python, Java, C++
  • Experience working with large and complex SQL databases
