Who we are: 

Wayfair is undergoing exponential growth, and to provide a better service to our customers we are building a brand new 1M sq ft Fulfilment Centre at Magna Park, Lutterworth. The facilities and maintenance team ensures that our employees work in a pleasant and safe environment. Managing everything from heating and lighting to automated sorters and mechanical handling equipment.  

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Supervisor on day shift to help set up and maintain the brand-new site. The applicant will help set up maintenance activities and supervise the maintenance team. They will have a pivotal role in creating the team and training the new engineers. The role is varied and will change over time as more equipment is added to the site. What you’ll do:

  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance for the maintenance team
  • Ensure maximum uptime of plant and equipment
  • Responsible for the electrical installation on site, including high voltage switching
  • Manage PPM schedule and ensure all preventative maintenance is carried out in specified time
  • Ensure regulatory compliance regarding facilities maintenance
  • Management of contractors on site
  • Train engineers on a wide variety of equipment
  •  Manage processes for COSHH, RAMS, PTW etc.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Electrical qualification HNC/BTEC and NVQ level 3 or higher
  • City & Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition
  • H&S qualification (eg IOSH)
  • Experience with automated equipment such as sorters and conveyors
  • Experienced in fault finding electromechanical equipment
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail (Microsoft office/BMS/maintenance engineering software) 
  • Experience in supervising a maintenance team 
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior members
  • Highly desirable: 
  • City & Guilds 9848-51 Certificate in High Voltage Operational
  • SafetyManagement qualification (eg CMI)
  • Project Management Experience
