Senior Analyst, Exclusive Brands Analytics

Our team acts as the nerve center for major decisions in Exclusive Brands, one of Wayfair's largest and most dynamic initiatives. We offer data-driven solutions to problems posed by stakeholders across the company, and insights to inform the Wayfair's brand launch calendar, style roadmap and merchandising initiatives. Our work is technically challenging, high impact, and heavily relied upon for strategic decision making.

What You'll Do

  • Own the process of generating data-driven, strategic insights for our partners, from analyzing and curating relevant data to communicating results to stakeholders and to leadership
  • Discover promising areas for new brand launches, and opportunity areas for improving departmental performance and KPIs
  • Work closely with partners in Merchandising, Business Intelligence, Product Innovation, Competitive Intelligence and Profit Management to craft high-impact solutions to departmental challenges
  • Create user-friendly and accurate tools for cross-functional partners to access data and insights on their own, and work closely with these partners to identify meaningful insights from related data
  • Autonomously and rapidly isolate key issues and trends in performance metrics, and clearly communicate those issues to a wide audience
  • Work closely with senior leadership in Exclusive Brands to target opportunity areas for growth
  • Mentor departmental team members on analytics best practices, technical skills, and on evolutions in our company's data architecture

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years experience in business analytics, finance, consulting, or other data-driven fields
  • Experience acting as a thought partner to provide accurate, data-driven solutions to wide-ranging problems
  • Ability to work within a team to scope work and to provide deliverables, potentially with shifting responsibilities between teammates
  • Comfort communicating complex insights to a wide, non-technical audience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, math, engineering, or any other technically rigorous field
  • Expertise in SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and Excel preferred
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and retail KPIs, and with best practices in data visualization
