develop employer brand positioning and marketing assets, optimize and scale digital and
traditional media budgets, and drive audacious hiring mandates using technology enabled
solutions at the vanguard of the talent industry.

We are currently looking for a highly analytical, outcome motivated business manager with an
exceptional sales and servant leadership orientation to rigorously optimize the large budget for
our firm-wide event based recruiting strategy

What You’ll Do

  • Build comprehensive event marketing strategies for flagship departments in the most
    competitive employment fields (Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Product
    Management, Product Design).
  •  Work with business and recruiting teams to select high ROI internal and external events
    (from small meetups to large conferences) to host, sponsor, or attend.
  • Past events include: DroidCon Boston, the Grace Hopper Convention, Pyfair,
    BoSRE, ODSC, CVPR, SIGIR, ICML, NeurIPS, UXPA Boston, and UX Week.
  • Manage a small team of direct reports and oversee large matrixed teams varying in size
    and composition for each event.
  • Manage the cost optimization of each event, directly indexing to the metric of
    cost-per-hire.
  • Oversee the team’s logistical planning for each event (staffing, transportation,
    décor/booth set up, conference registration and fees, lodging, etc.)
  • Attend many of the events and oversee the work of recruiters and other attendees.
  • Set the bar for “what good looks like” to be a sophisticated and knowledgeable brand
    evangelist for Wayfair. (i.e. Be the person everyone wants to work with or for;
  • Dynamically explain our value proposition to a diverse pool of people of all career
    maturities and talent profiles.)
  • Build a data pipeline and human intelligence network to evaluate and track the precise
    impact of an event on brand awareness, lead generation, application throughput, and
    new hires.
  • Assemble thorough, data supported “post-mortem” analysis documents evaluating
    outcomes, ROI, learnings for future events, and next steps.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in consulting, business development, marketing, or complicated logistics
    management
  • Experience synthesizing and drawing answers from data
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to continually raise the bar
  • Natural salesmanship and an ability to converse easily with people of all backgrounds
  • Experience leading interdepartmental teams
  • Demonstrated evidence of delivering against aggressive targets in a demanding and
    complex environment
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Comfort in navigating rapid change and ambiguity
  • Enthusiasm to travel domestically and internationally on a very frequent basis
  • Interest in the technology sector
