E-Commerce Merchandising Quality Associate

Merchandising at Wayfair is the team that creates our catalog of items and makes it easy for customers to navigate and shop. We gather data and images on millions of items from thousands of suppliers across many countries and languages. We transform that data into usable information so that consumers can easily find exactly the right item, judge if it fits their needs and design aspirations, and so that the right item arrives at their front door.

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our growing Merchandising team in Brunswick, Maine. You will spend your first four-to-six months in intensive customer immersion rotation on our SKU Health: Outside Perspective (SHOP) Team, evaluating our products holistically from the perspective of a customer. Here, you will form an appreciation for how all of the various pieces of content come together for a customer, and will gain a deep understanding of the role imagery plays in that experience. Armed with this training, you will transition onto the 3D Image Quality Team, where you will be responsible for reviewing 3D product images and providing feedback to off-shore artists to ensure the images meet photo realism and product accuracy standards. This role has the opportunity to support two teams within Maine Merchandising - the SHOP Team, followed by the 3D Image Quality Team. Both of these teams review content on Wayfair and identify opportunity areas for us to improve in order to ensure our customer has a best in class experience when shopping at Wayfair.

What You'll Do

  • Mimic customer behavior by “shopping” our online catalog
  • Review product descriptions, imagery and more on product pages and browse pages to confirm expectations of high quality
  • Identify potential pain points with the merchandising of Wayfair products
  • QA 3D product models in imagery for both technical issues and visual discrepancies
  • Clearly and consistently communicate how customer expectations may not be met, or what opportunities you have identified
  • Help the team to identify areas in which we can optimize our existing processes

What You'll Need

  • Acute attention to detail
  • Comfort doing repetitive work with enthusiasm
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to juggle priorities
  • True team player: positive, people-oriented, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approaches to solving problems
  • Ability to clearly document observations in a concise manner using tools and forms provided
  • Understanding of the Wayfair customer and shopping experience
  • Passion for creating a best-in-class shopping experience
  • BS/BA Degree preferred
