What You’ll Do 

Working directly with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Sales, the National Account Manager leads and executes all aspects of sales objectives and initiatives for assigned customers and channels.  You will drive new and existing product growth within WAYB and with other potentially identified new customers. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Account Management:

  • Manage and engage current and new strategic key accounts to achieve growth objectives.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities, delivering sales presentations to penetrate accounts across categories and departments.

Relationship Building:

  • Foster and maintain relationships with key retail merchants and stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Actively search for new client leads while managing and enhancing relationships with existing customers.

Sales Growth and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute annual and monthly sales plans in alignment with WAYB’s business plan.
  • Negotiate current and new contracts, ensuring alignment with company profitability and promotional goals.
  • Utilize data sources to capitalize on sales opportunities and tailor strategies that meet the unique needs of clients.

Customer Presentations and Insights:

  • Develop and deliver impactful customer presentations, business reviews, and strategic promotional plans.
  • Utilize data and provide insights and solutions for profitable growth, shaping customer strategies positively.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Liaise with Marketing, Product, and Logistic departments to set and implement strategies for new products.
  • Integrate social and environmental factors into decision-making, leading and inspiring team members to do the same.

Performance and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on sales performance, preparing detailed sales reports and strategy assessments.
  • Possess a strong understanding of each customer's strategy, organization, and decision-making process to identify new business opportunities among existing customers.

Leadership and Culture:

  • Lead by example, upholding WAYB culture and values.
  • Support and actively participate in company and employee initiatives that reinforce the company’s commitment to people and the planet.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in the management of national retailer accounts (ie Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue) and key account channels (ie independent stores, boutiques)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in any of the following industries: Child products, Gear, CPG products
  • Proven track record of pitching and gaining new business while also growing existing account business
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required 

 

Where We Are 

This is a remote position for residents within the continental United States. This role may require some travel from time to time to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
