Financial Navigation Associate (Staff Accountant)

What You’ll Do 

Working directly with the Financial Navigation Manager and CFO, the Financial Navigation Associate will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day accounting function and month-end close process, including, but not limited to:

 

  • Lead the  month-end closing process including JEs, reconciliations, accruals, and documentation
  • Ensure that all customer deposits, credits, and refunds  are accurately recorded and reconciled on a regular cadence
  • Responsible for compiling and preparing month end reports on AP/AR open balances, bills, payments, and credits
  • Review and process bills and invoices for accuracy and completeness  
  • Review and reconcile bank, credit card, and clearing account transactions on a regular cadence
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to ensure timely and accurate EDI invoicing to Boutique and Wholesale customers
  • In charge of updating and maintaining accounting records,work papers, and supporting documents, ensuring that they are accurate, complete, and up to date
  • Assist Manager in monthly budget variance analysis and reporting
  • Manage fixed assets including CAPEX, depreciation, and disposals in compliance with SOPs
  • Assist with tax compliance activities including sales tax filings, R&D tax credits, and various other regulatory needs
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes
  • Assist Manager in maintaining and updating Asana (project management software) for all current and future projects
  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines as needed to meet departmental and company initiatives

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or related field)
  • 2-3 years experience working in full cycle accounting 
  • User experience in NetSuite required 
  • U.S Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship required 
  • User experience in the following systems preferred: Bill.com, Expensify, Prophix, Celigo, Shopify, and Amazon Seller Central
  • Proficient in written and oral communication
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

This is a remote position. This role may require some travel from time to time to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
