Wave is creating a new kind of viritual concert experience. We know that today’s music audience wants to be part of the experience. Our goal is to create a first-of-its-kind virtual show for the next generation of concert-goers across the world’s biggest social and gaming platforms. Wave concerts are live, immersive, interactive and social. We combine cutting-edge gaming and broadcast technology with an interactive concert experience to help fans and artists more deeply connect with each other and express themselves in innovative ways.  

The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing Wave’s social channels (audience growth and community building) and will serve as the voice for the brand. The ideal candidate is passionate about the music space, digitally native, plugged into the latest news and trends, and has a track record of leading and growing social channels. This role is core to Wave’s growth strategy and will serve as a key member and thought partner on the marketing team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop social media strategy for all Wave channels (Twitter, IG, FB, YT) and identify and evaluate new platform opportunities as they arise
  • Create and maintain the social media content calendar by strategizing post ideas, themes, and real-time opportunities
  • Work closely with Community Manager, graphic designers, and agencies to develop content to promote shows and repeatable formats that drive deeper engagement with the community
  • Collaborate closely with broader marketing team and cross-functional partners including Creative, Production, and A&R to create social campaigns in support of Wave shows and broader brand marketing efforts
  • Establish social media reporting, social media listening, and creative analysis framework and process
  • Help establish Wave’s brand voice, look and feel, and give consumers a reason to join Wave’s social community
  • Take on new responsibilities and tasks as needed 

Desired Experience, Skills & Personal Qualities:

  • 5-8 years of social media experience in the music space or with a big brand
  • Passion for music is a must
  • Excellent copywriting skills, great communicator and careful attention to detail
  • A social media expert with up to date knowledge of all platform trends and creative best practices, especially for Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter
  • Proven track record of developing breakthrough and innovative social ideas
  • Deep understanding of Gen Z and Millennial audience
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in social media 
  • Ability to be self-directed and operate in an entrepreneurial environment that can be ambiguous and continuously evolving
  • Experience using social media analytics tool
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
