Job Overview
Wargaming is looking for а PHP Developer (Web team) to work on World of Warships in our brand-new Belgrade office.
World of Warships is the best naval game around, letting you take the command of legendary warships from the period of the 20th century as you battle your way across the open sea with other players.
The Web team is responsible for the development of the Game Portal, forum, various core, and meta-mechanics services, and other game-related web projects.
What will you do?
- Design, implement, and maintain company services on PHP stack (portals, sites, forums, event services);
- Work on the inner source projects and RnD activities;
- Design and implement applications architecture and how they work on production, build test and delivery pipelines, and integrate with other internal services;
- Work closely with QA engineers, developers, and product designers, and communicate with other teams and departments.
What are we looking for?
- 2+ years in PHP development. Our tech stack is IPS framework, Laravel, Composer, Git, Redis, Docker, and PostgreSQL;
- Basic experience in frontend development and template engines, and knowledge of VueJS will be a plus;
- Ability to create web service from scratch and deploy it to production (NGINX, PHP-FPM + extensions/components).
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Experience with other languages: Python, Golang, Node.js.
- Experience with any of - k8s, Prometheus, Grafana, RabbitMQ, Kafka.
