Warby Parker is looking for a new Lab Supervisor who will monitor, analyze, and manage the performance of the various lab services providers throughout the Warby Parker supply chain. As a master multitasker, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all fulfillment activities are well executed—which is key to the success of Warby Parker’s growing operation. Sound like your jam? What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with our optical lab partners to monitor and improve performance (measured by KPIs), focused  on reducing order turnaround time, improving operational processes, monitoring volume, and lowering return rates
    • To do this, you’ll interact daily with our different labs as well as schedule higher-level, weekly and monthly check-ins
  • Report out lab performance against KPI targets
  • Test new tech features, report system bugs, and continually recommend improvement projects
  • Support semi-annual physical inventory at lab locations
  • Collaborate with our product team to launch new prescription ranges and lens types (including troubleshooting order transmission at the lab and any potential fulfillment issues)
  • Act as a liaison between customer experience and retail teams and our optical labs to answer any and all questions related to order fulfillment
  • Train new hires, especially CX associates, on all things lab-related, plus maintain up-to-date training documents and identify knowledge gaps
  • Approve lab invoices and investigate discrepancies on a weekly basis
  • Monitor and fix daily order, shipping, and tech issues at our labs, and create and update any and all necessary tech support tickets
  • Coordinate special projects with our labs, including Community Schools Program implementation and submitting requests for sample orders and new product testing

  • Familiarity with a variety of shipping carriers & transportation networks
  • Basic knowledge of optics or optical fulfillment processes
