Warby Parker is searching for a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner to support various corporate departments and serve as the main liaison between the People team and various business units. In this role, you’ll oversee the implementation of employee programs that align with our business objectives and core values. Additionally, you’ll be a subject-matter expert in managing employee relations and implementing policies. Contributing at both hands-on and strategic levels, you’ll work to deploy best-in-class people practices to achieve our goals and foster a productive, innovative, and inclusive work environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide strategic guidance and tactical support to various Corporate departments at our New York headquarters and remotely.
  • Manage a direct report who is the main HR support for our Optical Lab employee population
  • Partner with colleagues across the People team to deploy HR programs and initiatives that support the employee lifecycle for our teams
  • Make Talent development-related recommendations and implement appropriate solutions
  • Anticipate and proactively manage areas of change in order to mitigate risk and avoid escalation
  • Analyze key people metrics and trends in partnership with the People Operations team to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Support leadership teams in organizational design and succession planning to meet current and future talent needs. 
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for employee-related questions and concerns
  • Manage employee relations as well as company policies, procedures, and compliance programs
  • Investigate workplace issues as needed and promote positive employee relations in partnership with the Legal team

Who you are:

  • Backed by 7+ years of HR experience in corporate settings, supporting various departments
  • Managerial experience and experience supporting employees in a manufacturing or production environment is a bonus
  • An entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • A calm and confident leader, even (or especially!) when managing through ambiguity
  • A clear, effective communicator who’s comfortable speaking with coworkers at all levels of the organization, including C-suite executives 
  • Equipped with a strong point of view and unafraid to disagree with business leaders
  • Comfortable collaborating and building relationships across departments
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)

Warby Parker, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York at the time of posting. Warby Parker may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible to receive a cash bonus and an equity bonus as part of the total compensation package.
