We are on the hunt for a passionate Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for those who possess an innate curiosity and a relentless drive to learn, offering a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the healthcare sector within a vibrant startup culture.

As our Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in: 

  • Designing and Managing Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain efficient data ingestion processes across various sources (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search), ensuring seamless data flow and availability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our technology and business teams to crystallize requirements, contributing to a continuous development roadmap.
  • Advanced Support: Offer L3/L4 support, addressing and resolving escalated user issues.
  • Data Transformation: Utilize DBT for crafting transformation logic, preparing data for consumption by business teams, front-end developers, and APIs.
  • Process Optimization: Elevate our organizational efficiency by automating manual operations, enhancing monitoring, and refining alerting mechanisms.

In the first 90 days, you will have:

  • Platform Mastery: Acquaint yourself thoroughly with the Waltz technology ecosystem.
  • Industry Insight: Gain deep insights into the Pharmacy industry and how Waltz's offerings stand out.
  • Infrastructure Excellence: Design and implement a resilient data infrastructure and reporting solutions.

You will be successful because you have these skills and traits: 

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Experience in building scalable data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, emphasizing data quality and direct usability.
    • Expertise in data modeling with DBT or Postgres stored procedures.
    • Expertise with serverless applications using Azure Functions, and coding in Python for data processing and automation.
  • Database Management: Competency in managing PostgreSQL and Snowflake databases, focusing on data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, understanding their data needs and crafting enabling solutions.
  • System Optimization: Skills in monitoring, diagnosing, and enhancing data systems for better reliability and efficiency.
  • Effective Communication: Clarity in conveying complex technical ideas to varied organizational levels, thriving in both independent and team settings.
  • Adaptability: Agile in responding to the evolving needs of a growing company, with a knack for problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative innovation.

You have these qualifications: 

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a Data Engineering capacity, with a solid foundation in cloud-based data solutions, primarily within Azure environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Python programming, DBT for data modeling, and familiarity with PostgreSQL and Snowflake databases.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Microsoft Azure and experience with Elastic Search are advantageous.
