The Challenge 🧩

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Wallapop’s discovery journey, creating engaging, intuitive, and scalable user experiences. Your work will directly enhance marketplace vibrancy, enabling millions of users to discover and connect with unique items in innovative ways. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, where you’ll craft impactful deliverables such as design strategy documents, frameworks, and prototypes to drive Wallapop’s product vision forward. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders, you will ensure every design initiative delivers measurable value for both users and the business.

What You Will Do 👇

  • Partner with cross-functional leads (Product Managers, Research, Analysts, Operations roles...), to scope, prioritize and define design initiatives for a given product area in line with business goals. 
  • Participate in the definition of roadmaps for digital products and services in collaboration with design managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Leverage sets of quantitative and qualitative data to communicate actionable insights to address user and business challenges and propose design solutions. 
  • Lead and execute medium to complex design projects from interaction concepts to the smallest details across all platforms. Own the end-to-end design process from the very early research to the beautiful final UI and specs. Work across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches.
  • Communicate decision making process and design solutions in an articulate way.
  • Collaborate with the design team on global execution, guidelines, and approvals. Contribute to the creation of a consistent experience for Wallapop users.
  • Mentor and guide other designers or product roles for developing knowledge, skills, and confidence for collaborating with UX. 
  • Help define and develop best UX practice standards.

What We’re Looking For 🔎

  • Extensive background in designing mobile-first digital products, ideally in marketplaces, e-commerce, or similarly complex environments.
  • Skilled in aligning design with business objectives, framing complex problems, and delivering impactful, user-centered solutions.
  • Experience or interest in designing solutions that improve exploration, personalization, and discovery experiences.
  • Strong ability to manage and align diverse stakeholders, communicate effectively, and drive collaborative outcomes.
  • Experience creating scalable frameworks, modular solutions, or systems to ensure consistency across platforms.
  • Proficient in leveraging user research and analytics to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Strong communicator and team player, capable of mentoring others and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English to effectively collaborate in a diverse, dynamic environment.

Expertise Interview - run by the hiring team, focus on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 90 minutes.

Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.

Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes. 

Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
