Summary
This position provides oversight to the IT operations in our organization. The Director of IT’s responsibilities include managing employees within the IT department, liaising with other departments to ascertain their technological requirements, and developing and implementing solutions that meet these requirements and are aligned with our organization's objectives. This role oversees all aspects of Information Technology including Infrastructure, Operations and Cyber Security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals and objectives
• Lead, mentor, and manage the entire IT organization, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to support the organization’s technology needs
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and communication systems as well as all aspects of Cyber Security
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Liaising with other departments, determining and addressing their IT needs and requirements
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external IT vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Oversee the management of all devices, including Mac, Windows, and mobile devices, ensuring proper setup, maintenance, and security
• Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
• Designing training programs, workshops for staff and skills advancement
• Conducting regular system audits
• Producing and sharing IT status reports with senior staff
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
• In coordination with the CFO, preparing and managing the IT budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control
• Update, plan and test Business Continuity and Cyber Incident Response Plans
• Additional occasional duties include assisting Facilities Management with support for cable TV Service, network cabling and electrical service estimates, evaluation of design for new Branch Office facilities, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• This position oversees the Network Engineer, IT Security Analyst, IT Support Supervisor and
Support Team, Mobile Device Management team and Systems Administrator.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred but consideration will be given to strong candidates with relevant experience.
• Experience: 10+ years of IT experience including 5+ years of leadership experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations using English language.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating policies and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills
Hands-on and real-world experience implementing and administrating IT technologies including but, not limited to:
· Experience supporting desktops, laptops, one printers and mobile devices.
· Experience with software installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
· Solid working knowledge of computer networks, network devices, cyber security tools and technologies
· Experience deploying and supporting Windows; Mac, Android, iPhone experience is a plus
· Understanding of infrastructure backup products and technologies
· Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
· Experience with the following technologies are considered a significant plus: Microsoft Intune, Microsoft
Entra, Active Directory, Okta, Check Point, Cisco
Meraki, CyberArk, VMWare
· Experience with security controls and frameworks such as NIST, Cybersecurity Maturity Model
Certification (CMMC), ISO27001 is highly desirable.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, NET+ or higher a plus
Current/valid state driver’s license

Other Qualifications
Cyber security certifications such as CompTIA Security +, CISSP, etc. are a differentiator
Certifications in Microsoft technologies, ITIL, PMP, or other relevant fields are preferred
Must be able to travel on a limited basis and on infrequent occasional work nights and/or weekends.
Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
