We are moving a mile a minute to make sure that Wag! customers, walkers, and partners are able to experience the magic of Wag!. We're looking for a talented dog lover to help our corporate affairs team develop external and internal communications and manage administrative tasks to keep the team organized and on track. The candidate for this role must have strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring communications professional looking to sharpen their skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform administrative tasks for our head of communications including managing email and calendars, booking travel, and coordinating team meetings and offsites
  • Partner with communications team members and cross-functional partners to help create and execute project and communications plans across a variety of channels and audiences
  • Track down information for—and help write—communications on a number of topics including company announcements, meeting presentations, scripts, key messages and talking points
  • Manage the corporate communications editorial calendar for all external and internal channels to ensure content is created and published on schedule
  • Support large-scale external and internal events and meetings including researching venues, managing invites and attendee lists, coordinating A/V and logistics, ordering and shipping supplies, setting up and tearing down events, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, journalism or a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Experience in corporate communications, PR or related field is a plus
  • Experience working in a high-growth tech company and/or a gig economy business is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven track record of setting priorities and managing deadlines
  • Must be proficient with PowerPoint and/or Keynote
  • An eye for graphic design and familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Has a can-do attitude and understands that communications is a team sport requiring cross-functional collaboration with multiple internal clients and external partners
  • A high-level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • A passion to create more joyful experiences for dogs and the people who love them
