As our Senior Cloud Security Analyst you’ll design and build Cloud Security solutions that will balance the need for speed and flexibility of Cloud infrastructure and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS applications with the need to protect Wag! against ongoing and potential security threats. Implement the Information Security design for Cloud usage throughout the company, enforce compliance with Security policies, controls, and function as a technical security SME on various projects. This critical role requires the ability to synthesize radical ideas, the aptitude to define new security strategies and the tenacity to get the job done.
Work closely with Wag!’s engineering team to ensure great security practices are part of the product’s DNA.
Use common security tools and techniques to analyze application (backend, ios, android) vulnerabilities, as well as network traffic and systems behavior in order to identify and track potential attacks and adversaries.
Develop tools and scripts to automate vulnerability detection across multiple environment and platforms.
Validate vulnerabilities found by automated tools, bug bounty programs, and manual testing and determine priority for mitigation.
Suggest firewall (AWS security groups) and NIDS rules and configuration changes to the environment in order to mitigate observed attacks.
Determine root cause of potential security events or incidents.
Effectively communicate through written and spoken means with technical peers.
Under the guidance of management, respond to security incidents.
Own tracking and resolution of security incidents and mitigations.
Occasional on-call work
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
An understanding of application security, particularly as it relates to web-based applications, as
well as IOS and andriod
Experience analyzing vulnerabilities, particularly those defined in OWASP's Top 10.
3+ years of experience in information/computer security.
Experience supporting the full stack in a public cloud environment (e.g. AWS)
1+ years of experience as a security analyst.
Experience writing NIDS, SIEM and Firewall rules.
Experience in writing SQL queries.
Experience working with digital forensic tools a plus
2+ years of automated scripting knowledge
