Join Vultr

Vultr was an early entrant in cloud GPU infrastructure. We were also the first to offer on-demand fractionalized GPU cards with our industry's first release of Talon. GPU as infrastructure continues to be a company's top priority as we increase the number of ways we can deliver AI / ML service and infrastructure to our customers.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager, GPU to help us shape, define, and develop the future of our GPU infrastructure offerings.

As a TPM at Vultr you will be in the middle of it all, helping to shape and drive cloud service innovation. You would be:

  • Working directly with executives on core company strategy related to GPU infrastructure
  • Collaborating with technical leads and architects on product roadmaps and engineering backlogs
  • Planning and validating required functionality with solution engineering
  • Working directly with sales and marketing on go-to-market strategies
  • Performing market assessment and competitive analysis
  • Working directly with customers to understand their business and technical needs
  • Collecting and distilling requirements into actionable engineering backlog

This person will be:

  • Directing engineering efforts around GPU delivery
  • Driving the technical strategy to make our fleet of GPUs easy and reliable for our customers to consume, leverage, and grow with
  • Defining the supporting software ecosystem needed to quick delivery, setup, and configuration, bringing the time to value for our customers as low as possible
  • Working closely with hardware vendors and suppliers to troubleshoot and improve drivers and implementation methods
  • Defining core images to deliver with both cloud and bare metal deployments
  • Helping to drive network architecture and GPU direct technologies, including both InfiniBand as well as RoCe implementations
  • Defining and iterating ongoing methods for bespoke customer hardware implementations as well as cloud-based, on-demand multitenant delivery
  • Working with our hardware vendors on reference architectures and translating that to engineering deliverables
  • Intimately familiar with how customers consume GPU and AI/ML services technically
  • Deep understanding of how different delivery methods support different customer needs:
    • On-demand
    • Containerized - Kubernetes
    • Bare Metal
    • AI / ML services

You should have direct experience with GPU infrastructure/clusters, AI / ML products and services, data-center infrastructure, and cloud compute, as well as direct experience with the many ways GPUs are used within startups, SMBs, and enterprise development teams.

Experience in product management best practices, both business analysis, and technical execution is important, but the technical knowledge and implementation is even more important.

You should be competent and excited to drive a vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Our team’s mission is to be the price / performance leader for the public cloud services and private AI markets.

This is your opportunity to join this uniquely positioned and impactful team and leave your mark on the future of Cloud Infrastructure.

What to expect:

As we continue to invest in our ever-growing data center locations, we need to define our next-generation strategies for highly composable infrastructure that will maximize those investments.

Our product offerings will each need its own analysis, opportunity assessment, execution strategy, and roadmap that fits into a larger plan:

  • Consolidate, synthesize, and communicate market assessment and opportunities for serverless products
  • Apply and show data-driven decision-making
  • Leverage a design thinking-based approach to identify user needs
  • Work across silos with ‘event storming’ collaboration strategies to ensure the roadmap is accretive and effective across multiple product categories and teams
  • Evaluate and assess current product capabilities
  • Propose product roadmaps to maximize business value through strategic technical investments
  • Create product roadmaps that outline a product’s evolution over time-based on market conditions and customer feedback
  • Work with leadership to define and target market opportunities
  • Work with engineering to define and sequence development efforts
  • Research new technologies and identify opportunities for improvement or change
  • Communicate with clients, including conducting workshops and seminars to educate them on new products or services
  • Analyze customer needs and provide guidance on how to meet those needs by suggesting solutions and recommending products
  • Identify potential challenges or problems with existing products or services and propose solutions
  • Develop business cases for new products or services based on market research
  • Work with engineering teams to develop new cloud computing products or services
  • Manage the product life cycle from conception through retirement to ensure that all products meet the company’s standards for quality and performance
  • Develop strategies to increase market share and improve customer satisfaction with existing products
  • Evaluate existing and new cloud technologies, advance storage features, and new operational methodology to drive efficiency, availability, and effectiveness of our services

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years experience configuring, deploying, and managing GPU infrastructure, products, and/or services
  • 2+ years of product management, technical program management, or related work experiences

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
