CAFE is looking for a Digital Engagement and Subscriptions Manager. This role will lead development, implementation, and continual testing of cross-platform strategies to expand and engage our audience and CAFE community, with a focus on growing and retaining members of CAFE Insider, CAFE’s membership program which offers exclusive audio and written content. This includes: enhancing CAFE’s website and social media presence, increasing subscribers to CAFE’s free newsletters, and growing the paid CAFE Insider membership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Subscription Growth and Retention:  

  • Innovate and test strategies to increase and retain subscribers to both free newsletters and the CAFE Insider membership 
  • Lead discussions to continually evaluate CAFE Insider offerings based on audience feedback and industry best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends around memberships and subscriptions to understand emerging opportunities for growth and innovation

Newsletter & Social Media Production: 

  • Draft, design, build, and manage CAFE’s free and paid newsletters and marketing emails 
  • Develop and produce engaging copy and content for CAFE’s social media channels to drive community engagement, in collaboration with editorial teams

 Audience and Community Engagement: 

  • Optimize our social strategy across Facebook, Instagram, and other channels to develop stronger relationships and loyalty among our fans
  • Cultivate CAFE’s listener community by developing and executing new community engagement opportunities 

Metrics & Analysis: 

  • Track and analyze key metrics, prepare regular KPI reports, and identify trends and opportunities across the website, social media channels, podcasts, and e-mails 
  • Use data insights to refine tactics and enhance audience and subscriber growth, engagement, retention, and winback

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven experience in using integrated channel mix to drive organic growth, engagement, and retention. 
  • Thrives in a cross-functional environment, leading conversations and collaborating across different teams 
  • A deep understanding of customer journeys.
  • A passion for our mission of better informing the public about important national and international issues
  • Has a true “test and learn” mindset.
  • Has experience with email marketing and website content management tools like Mailchimp, and WordPress.
  • Evolve CAFE’s website in collaboration with the audience and product teams, with a special focus on driving newsletter and subscription sign-up
