Viva The Matadors, the SB Nation blog covering the Texas Tech Red Raiders, is looking for a contributor to cover Texas Tech athletics. Duties will include writing baseball game previews, recaps, and profiles; hosting or appearing on the site's baseball podcast, and putting together video analyses of the team. There will be opportunities to write/produce video content about Texas Tech sports other than baseball.
Our best candidates will:
- Have a passion for Texas Tech and is already familiar with the culture and community at Viva The Matadors.
- Understand how to use popular social media networks, like Twitter and Facebook, and be willing to adapt to new best practices.
- Be able to produce and edit clean copy.
- Have a strong understanding of the game of baseball and other sports.
- Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Previous writing experience about Texas Tech or sports in general is preferred.
This is a contractor position that pays a monthly stipend.
