Overview
VOX Global, a bipartisan strategic communications firm, is seeking qualified candidates for our full-time Graphic Design fellowship to support our Washington DC-based Creative Team. This fellowship is a paid, full-time position for Spring 2025. Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in professional development trainings and experiences intended to grow their design and professional skills. The fellowship is a paid, full-time, 3-6-month position and we are looking for someone to join our team as soon as possible. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the Washington, DC office and 2 days remote.
Our ideal applicants will be recent graduates or new-to-the-industry professionals with the necessary skills to assist the Creative Team with producing deliverables for both client projects and internal purposes. A strong interest in brand design, social media design, and layout design is preferred. Candidates should have exceptional attention to detail and solid presentation and writing skills. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. The rate is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of visual content for digital ads, social media graphics, websites, creative decks and printed materials
- Collaborate with team members to develop and present design concepts and deliver high-quality graphics that align with client needs
- Help maintain and organize digital assets, including photos, logos, and design files
- Stay current on design trends and best practices to ensure our work remains fresh and innovative
- Take on additional design-related tasks as needed to support the firm
Qualifications
- Applicants must be available full-time/40 hour per week (9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday–Friday) starting in Spring 2025, start date is flexible
- Location: Our hybrid model requires in-person presence in our Washington, DC, office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; with the option to work remotely Mondays and Fridays
- Potential for occasional work outside of regular business hours
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, digital media, or a related field
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint)
- Knowledge about design fundamentals and principles
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders about project expectations
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work well independently and with a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
You’ll stand out from other applicants if you have:
- Experience designing for social media platforms for professional uses
- Familiarity with Webflow
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS and/or UI/UX Principles
- Experience with animation or motion design
- Experience using AI tools to support design tasks
