Vouch is a new, technology-first insurance company, backed with $70M in funding from world-class investors. Like Stripe for payments or Brex for credit cards, Vouch is creating the go-to business insurance for startups.

We're doing this by making insurance fast, responsive, and focused on our customer - startup founders. Instead of printed PDF applications and week-long waits, Vouch is building new technology to solve real problems, writing policies that actually cover relevant startup scenarios, and designing simple experiences in an otherwise frustrating industry.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Head of Finance and Leadership Team to develop the long-term financial and operating model, including revenue and expense forecasting models to improve business planning and analysis
  • Enhances the monthly management reporting framework to measure, monitor, and analyze financial results including the creation and enhancement of relevant KPIs, including the design of new reports to provide innovative information to manage the business more effectively
  • Recommends and implements process improvements for financial reporting and analysis as well as conducts ad hoc analysis for critical decision-making
  • Drives the annual planning process, departmental operating plans, and mid-year or off-cycle forecasting processes
  • Organizes and manipulates quantitative data to identify and explain trends including building the finance data warehouse and the single source of truth
  • Develops and maintains financial models with sensitivity analyses around internal and external factors to ensure they support overall business objectives

About You:

  • Current financial professional with 5-8 years of experience in investment banking, equity analysis, corporate financial planning & analysis, and/or strategy consulting
  • Excellent financial modeling and data analytics skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Process and results-oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment with fluctuating priorities
  • Experience in an insurance industry carrier, agency, or broker
  • Experience with SQL, R, Looker, Tableau, or data analytics/visualization tools
  • MBA or pursuing MBA
