Job Description

 

We are seeking a skilled Frontend engineer with primary skills in Vue.js and React.js to join our growing team and contribute to the development of our conversational commerce platform. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality front-end applications using Vue.js and AngularJS. You will work closely with the design team to implement user-friendly and intuitive interfaces and collaborate with other developers to ensure the best possible user experience.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly, interactive front-end applications meeting business requirements.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, data analysts, QA, and backend engineers to translate UI/UX mockups into production-ready code.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Integrate frontend with backend APIs, and communicate with external services to ensure smooth data exchange and interoperability across different systems and platforms.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback to colleagues, and perform unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues, identifying and implementing solutions promptly.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in conversational AI technologies, e-commerce, and front-end development practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation in our platform.

 

Requirements:

 

Education: Masters / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent experience.

 

Experience:  4+ years

 

Required Skills:



  • Frontend Development Proficiency: Strong understanding and experience in web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proficiency in building responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, AngularJS, and Ionic.

 

  • API Consumption and Integration: Proficiency in consuming backend APIs and integrating them into front-end applications.Understanding of RESTful principles and experience with tools like Swagger or Postman for API testing and documentation.Ability to collaborate closely with backend engineers to design and implement frontend features that interact seamlessly with backend services.

 

  • Database Skills: Demonstrated experience in integrating frontend applications with backend databases, including both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, DataStore) databases. Understanding the basic database concepts and the ability to write simple queries for data retrieval, testing, and manipulation is a must.

 

  • User Interface (UI) Design: Experience in UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies.Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics to create visually appealing user interfaces. Knowledge of utilizing design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma to create mockups and prototypes would be an added advantage.



  • Cloud Computing: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially with services like Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Logs Explorer, App Engine, Compute Engine, Firebase, Data Store, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage, is crucial.  You should be able to deploy and scale your applications, manage serverless functions, and work with cloud-based services. 

 

  • Security and Authentication: Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT) and secure coding practices. Awareness of potential security vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate security measures to protect user data. 

 

  • Version Control: Proficiency in using version control systems like Git is essential for collaborative development and managing code repositories. Familiarity with Git workflows and branching strategies is beneficial. Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) is desired.

 

  • Agile Development: Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in agile teams. Knowledge of tools like Confluence and Jira for project management, task tracking, and collaboration.

 

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. Debugging, testing, and optimizing code for performance are critical aspects of the role.

 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

  • Industry Experience: Familiarity with the specific challenges, trends, and requirements of the conversational commerce industry or e-commerce domain. Previous experience in transactional payments or the e-commerce industry and the integration of conversational interfaces into e-commerce platforms, payments, or applications would be preferred.
