Vonage, the leading product in communications APIs and Platforms, is looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our Identity and Access Management team. Successful Candidates will explore new ways to further enhance our Customer Identity Provider and Identity Access Management Services. Both Identity Provider and IAM Services are built on standards (OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, JWS, …). There’s also the opportunity to work on some of the customer facing APIs provided by Vonage.

You would be joining an international, very experienced team of Software Engineers and Scientists passionate for real time communications, media, cloud infrastructure, and much more.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on software development and system design.
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of the global infrastructure deployment for our identity services, with an aim of .99999% of availability.
  • Implement the new features for the Identity Service requested by our Product Team.
  • Contribute to software architectures for a highly distributed network application.
  • Design and develop approaches to measure, evaluate and improve service quality.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in more than one of the following languages: Kotlin, Golang, Java.
  • Continuous Deployment
  • Docker (syntax, architecture, ...)
  • Familiarity with git and working with git on trunk-based development environments.
  • Experience using, designing and developing REST APIs 

 A plus, if one or more of the following are also provided:

  • ArgosCD
  • AWS - we use this extensively, and the candidate should have a good knowledge of at least the set of subservices required to deploy, manage and publish code.
  • Kubernetes administration.
  • Jenkins administration and pipelines
  • Helm
  • Proxy Configuration (nginx, envoy)
  • Nomad/Vault/Consul deployment and config
