Vonage Product Management Mission: The Vonage API Communications Group is an emerging leader in the $10B+ cloud communications platform (CPaaS) market. Customers such as Airbnb, Viber, Whatsapp, Snapchat, and many others depend on our APIs and SDKs to connect with their customers all over the world.

Why this role matters

The Numbers product is a key enabler of both SMS and Voice use cases so is a critical part of the Vonage Communications Platform. We are looking for a product manager to lead the Numbers management for the Nexmo platform. The role will streamline front and back-end services to address operational, commercial and customer needs. You might be in a product management role right now, or could be an experienced business analyst who has Numbers management experience in a Telco environment and is looking to make a career change. 

You will be responsible for defining the Numbers strategy that enables Nexmo to provide rich communications solutions for its current products whilst enabling new products, new pricing and packaging models and ultimately new business models. 

What you will do

  • Formulate the strategy, concepts, product requirements and use cases for Nexmo Numbers
  • Formulate a first class buying experience and work with other teams to realise this vision
  • Work with other product managers, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance & Legal to define pricing/packaging and charging models that will enable all current and future products to achieve their goals
  • Ensure that billing capabilities are aligned with the Numbers strategy
  • Work with other teams to oversee the streamlining of the Numbers product and enable automation and scalability in provisioning and sales
  • Develop an international number porting strategy and the processes and mechanisms to support this 
  • Support the Business Operations team to improve reporting mechanisms and tooling around provisioning, sales, stock, cost and profitability key metrics 
  • Integrate customer feedback and performance metrics continuously into plans
  • Further develop a knowledge base of country specific regulations, and supplier capabilities
  • Understand the competitive landscape and how Numbers can enable Nexmo to differentiate from its competition
  • Own the roadmap and prioritise requirements. Communicate to the business the rationale behind your product decisions. 

What you will bring

  • Experience working on-the-ground delivering compliance solutions for SaaS providers or similar services
  • Technical knowledge of complex software systems, understanding of software development and processes within security and compliance realm
  • Ability to work with different stakeholders across the business from software Engineers through to Finance, Security, Legal and Operations teams

What is required for application


  • 2-3 years experience in Telecommunications or working with virtual numbers 
  • Experience of numbers management in a Telco environment
  • Experience of building and maintaining APIs
  • You have sound business analysis skills
  • Knowledge of enterprise SaaS businesses


  • Computer Science degree or similar technical qualification or BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  • Consistent track record working in complex multi-stream projects
  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Certified compliance professional is a plus
  • Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools
  • Able to work with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc.
