Why this role matters
The Principal Enterprise Architect is the department’s most senior individual contributor, working with management to define strategies, develop business priorities and handle business-critical accounts and processes. Solutions Engineering provides technical subject matter expertise in support of Vonage sales efforts. We study the market, analyze customer experience and ensure solutions achieve both customer and Vonage business goals. This role is also one the most key contributors to success with our BD and ISV Partnership programs especially for new burgeoning relationships with IBM, Microsoft, and ServiceNow. This person is responsible for driving the success of technical, product and operational aspects of these relationships. Finally, this role is considered to be one of the thought leaders for the company in the CCaaS space.
What you will do
- Attend sales calls and assist with sales efforts
- Conduct technical interviews with customers to clearly define needs
- Provide technical expertise to ensure that customer needs are met
- Maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competitors in order to act as a valuable resource to the customer and sales team
- Conduct product demonstrations both in-person and using webinar tools
- Provide technical assistance to Product Management, Marketing, and Sales Training teams
- Deliver product and technical presentations both onsite and remote
- Deliver comprehensive and customized product demonstrations focused on functional capabilities in business terms easily understood by the customer
- Provide peer training for the existing Sales Team
- Provide technical assistance to Business Development Team for Partner Enablement
- Liaison between Sales, Sales Engineering and Product Management for Product Feedback and Roadmap Construction
- Subject Matter Expert for Contact Center
- Build and maintain Demonstration Environment for Contact Center and CRM integrations
- Provide technical assistance to Alliances for Demonstration and Enablement

What is required for application
- Telecom experience and 8+ years as Solutions/Sales Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
- CCaaS experience is required, UCaas and API experience is highly desired
- Experience with Salesforce.com is a must
- Demonstrate ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships with sales team, partners, vendors, and customers
- Must be a compelling, passionate and confident public speaker with communication skills of the highest caliber
- Understands sales process, strategies, and solutions selling
- Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions
- Ability to create convincing proposals and documentation
- Data Networking, SIP, Cloud Computing certifications
- Strong experience with networking protocols, standards and hardware
- Technical knowledge of Broadsoft and advanced contact center products
- Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills
